In promoting and participating in the
nation-wide effort known as Souper Bowl of Caring, worshippers at Park
Christian Church are invited by their interim pastor in wearing jerseys,
shirts, sweatshirts, and/or hats of their favorite sports teams to church.
There is a fund-raising soup lunch after worship in Fellowship Hall that
day. All proceeds benefit the Interfaith Community Council of New Albany in
their ministries of care to people in need. A sign-up sheets is in the
hallway.
Ash Wednesday Worship Service February 22 at 7 PM
To mark the beginning of the season of Lent, Park will have an Ash
Wednesday service on February 22nd at 7 pm. The service will invite
participants to turn their eyes towards Jerusalem and walk the path that
Jesus walked to the cross. Ashes in the shape of the cross are traditionally
placed upon the forehead or the back of the hand and worn until the end of
the day.
Women's
Bible Study Tuesday, February, 5, 12, 19, & 26th at
9:30 am.
Women's Bible Study meets every Tuesday in
February at 9:30 am. We meet in the fellowship hall and the study lasts
about 2 hours. The current study is by Jim Cymbala and titled, "When God's
Spirit Moves"
Prayer
Shawl/Blanket Workday Saturday, February 11 at 9:30 am
Prayer shawl/blanket workday will meet on Saturday, February 11th at
9:30 am. If you can attend, remember that all you need to bring are willing
hearts and hands, however, if you can please bring scissors, straight edge
or yard stick, pins, iron, or sewing machine.
Gathering
and Sharing Friday, February 20th from noon to 2 pm.
Be sure to wear red and white to Gathering and Sharing on Friday,
February 10th from noon to 2 pm to celebrate Valentine's Day! Also, bring 20
or more signed but not addressed! This month there will be meatloaf, mashed
potatoes, broccoli salad, and desserts. Lots of games will be available to
play: Scrabble Slam, Bananagram, Farkel, Apples to Apples, and Dominoes.

Pancake Dinner Tuesday, February 21st
6 pm to 8 pm
Disciples men will serve a pancake dinner on Tuesday, February 21, from
6pm to 8pm in fellowship hall.
Donations will be collected for Outreach
ministries and Boy Scouts. There will be
delicious food and a king cake!
